Case Study 1
Case History:
A 26 year old female presented with the chief complaint of migraines, as well as ringing in her ears and pain in her jaw, face, neck, shoulders and arms. This patient developed these symptoms after a car accident. After trying unsatisfactory therapy from a chiropractor, she came to our office, seeking our TruDenta® treatment for her rehabilitation process.
Assessment:
After following the TruDenta® assessment protocol, it was determined that the patient’s dentomandibular sensorimotor dysfunction was caused by trauma from a car accident, along with clenching and grinding, and that she would benefit from a Level 4 TruDenta® treatment plan.
TruDenta Treatment:
A treatment plan was formulated specific to this patient’s needs, based on the results of our TruDenta® evaluation, consisting of muscle palpation testing, range of motion testing, intra-oral photos, a full set of x-rays / cone beam CB-CT scan, and the performance of a T-scan and joint vibration analysis.
The results of this patient’s evaluation placed this individual in a level 4 treatment category, consisting of 12 weeks of TruDenta® therapy. Treating this patient required a combination of frequencies, durations, modulation of therapeutic ultrasound, transcutaneous electrical stimulation (sub-threshold micro-current), low level laser/light therapy and intraoral orthotics, along with other modalities.
Results:
This combination therapy has been proven to deliver consistent lasting pain relief and dental foundation rehabilitation. This therapy/rehabilitation is based on the therapeutic approach used in sports medicine and has a demonstrated history of success.
With the help of this patient’s dedication, we are excited to say, this patient has been truly rehabilitated through our TruDenta® therapy program. This individual has been migraine and pain free for 5 months.
Case Study 2
Case History:
A 66 year old female presented with the chief complaint of headaches, as well as pain in her left and right jaw joints, neck, shoulders and arms, along with restricted range of motion.
Assessment:
After following the TruDenta® assessment protocol, it was determined that the patient’s dentomandibular sensorimotor dysfunction was caused by unbalanced muscle forces along with clenching and grinding, and that she would benefit from a Level 4 TruDenta® treatment plan.
TruDenta Treatment:
Through the collection of data retrieved from our TruDenta® evaluation, which consists of the performance of a T-scan, joint vibration analysis, range of motion testing, muscle palpation testing, intraoral photos, a full set of x-rays and cone beam CB-CT scan, we were able to diagnose and create a treatment plan specific to this patient’s needs.
The results of this patient’s evaluation placed this individual in a Level 4 treatment category, consisting of 12 weeks of TruDenta® therapy. Case Study 3
Case History:
A 51 year old female presented with the chief complaint of headaches and face pain, along with sleep deprivation resulting from the frequent headaches. This patient would like to be able to keep up with her demanding occupation, and get back to what she is missing in life, due to her pain and headaches.
Assessment:
After following the TruDenta® assessment protocol, it was determined that the patient’s dentomandibular sensorimotor dysfunction was caused by poor force distribution, along with clenching and grinding, and that she would benefit from a Level 3 TruDenta® treatment plan.
TruDenta Treatment:
We were able to create a treatment plan pertinent to this individual’s disabilities by conducting a thorough TruDenta® evaluation. This evaluation entails the performance of a T-scan, joint vibration analysis, range of motion testing, muscle palpation testing, intraoral photos, a full set of x-rays and a CB-CT scan.
The outcome of this patient’s evaluation placed her in a Level 3 treatment category, which consists of 8 weeks of TruDenta® therapy.
